Do you know how much water your canal has right now?

Capta Hydro’s canal telemetry solution will allow you to know how much water your canal has at every moment and alert you on flow changes in real time.

Discover why our canal telemetry solution is what you need to improve your water management .

We want to lead the development of innovative solutions that improve superficial and groundwater management, helping communities, companies and countries to develop sustainably.

Why do we need to improve water management?

Climate Change and

Water Scarcity

Climate Change is a reality to which all society will have to adapt, in particular because of its impact on water availability.

Temperature increases, rainfall reductions and glacial meltdown are happening in parallel with an increase in water demand due to demographic and economic growth, worsening water scarcity in our basins, countries and regions.

Inefficiency and lack of information

Superficial waters, that currently irrigate more than 160 million hectares globally, are distributed mainly through irrigation canals. But, water losses are typically between 25% and 50%, because of (un measured) filtrations in earth-lined canals, theft, operational mistakes and inefficiencies generated due to supply-based vs demand-based water delivery.

High cost of traditional solutions

The constant monitoring of the flow - plus an effective system of configurable alerts - will allow for the detection of issues in the delivery of water in real time, minimizing losses and errors.

Our commitment is clear: offer water monitoring and control solutions that solve our customers needs in a definitive and profitable way.

To achieve that we promise:

Technology investments lost or postponed because of the reality of theft and vandalism? To answer this problem our hardware equipment are designed to be durable solutions, with a series of innovative characteristics that allow them to endure theft and/or vandalism attempts.

to infraestructure

Why not use existing infrastructure if it works? We had this in account when designing our hardware, resulting in significantly reduced installation times and costs due to less or none additional civil works.

Our main concern is that our equipment and management software function continuously and as intended, giving always timely support so that our customers can do what really matters: monitor and control their water resources in real time.

Innovation is an essential part of Capta Hydro, and the base of our solutions. But, so is continuous innovation of our hardware equipment, services and software, so that we can increase the value delivered to our customers.

All your WATER DATA in only one software

Capta AMARU Software

  • Proprietary design and development software, that adds all Capta Hydro and third-party data in one platform, for a complete analysis of the superficial and/or groundwater extraction and distribution networks. Mobile app version available for iOS and Android, ideal for water management on the go.

Integrated Water Resource Management and the Sustainable Development Goals

The Global Water Partnership (GWP) defines Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) as “a process that promotes the coordinated development and management of water, land and related resources in order to maximise economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems and the environment”

Capta Hydro is committed to delivering innovative solutions that will facilitate the implementation of IWRM processes at a local, national and regional level, thus helping the accomplishment of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) N˚6: ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
